Reliable Auto Body was started by Lloyd Remington and Louis Schechter in 1926 in a one-room store at 11 North 10th
Street in Allentown (Phone 2-9446). The business originally known as Reliable Auto Body and Radiator Works was
located at 720 Union Street, in Allentown from 1930 to 1972.
In 1956, Ralph Schatz, a friend, and John B. Ortelli, an employee became members of the business and the corporation
was formed; John Ortelli’s three sons, John Jr., Albert and Richard, worked in the shop at the time. In 1972, the
business relocated to its present location at 967 Sumner Avenue, Whitehall, and control succeeded to the three brothers.
In 1999, Louis J. Ortelli, John Jr’s son, took control of the business and continues to run it today.

possible ... Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Counsel (LVMAC), The National Auto
Body Counsel (NABC) Recycled Rides program, Deerfoot Auto Parts, Lehigh
Valley Bumpers, Yocum Towing, and #1 Service Center to name a few.
Mr. & Mrs. Mescavage were located through the LVMAC as a deserving family

Heats, we logged the most laps from all 3 heats and had the
quickest lap times.
Mike Bednar representated "Team Reliable" and drew the 5th
starting spot for the final race!
The start of the race was "LeMans" style which didn't deter Eric
Beers from jumping into that kart and getting "Team Reliable" out
onto the track.
With the help of Roy Danner in the pit area "Team Reliable" was
able to flawlessy make its necessary 4 driver changes.
All 5 drivers performed smoothly on the track and drove "Team
Reliable" to a solid 2nd place finish!
Look for "Team Reliable" to be back next year!!!!
We would also like to thank all the families & friends that came out
